Newark Venture Partners is a seed-stage firm focused on B2B software companies, investing out of our 2nd fund. The Role
We are looking to add an Associate to support our team as we invest our new fund. In exchange you will get full exposure to the investment process and the opportunity to learn from our team. We’re looking for someone who is intellectually curious, flexible and excited to help support our team in our thematic research initiatives.

Primary responsibilities will be to:
-Manage thematic research initiatives, including primary research and market mapping.
-Drive new ideas and areas of interest.
-Source and diligence new investment opportunities.
-Support portfolio companies.
-Help to build out NVP’s network.

The Qualifications
The ideal candidate has:
-2-4 years of post undergraduate full-time relevant work experience. We love to see candidates with previous exposure to the start-up ecosystem, either through a previous role in VC or at a start-up, but it is not a requirement.
-The ability to gather and synthesize vast amounts information, draw meaningful conclusions and convey them succinctly
-Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills
-Passion and curiosity about new technologies and emerging business models
-Enjoys working in a fluid, entrepreneurial environment where no two days look the same
