Who We Are:

Buildforce is looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our team. We're building the marketplace that creates a better experience for workers and contractors in the construction industry. We're looking for someone who wants to be a part of a growing team, take charge of our product design, and drive us to be better as we scale together.

What You'll Do:

• You'll help us understand needs: Help us understand what the people in the construction labor world - workers (supply-side of our marketplace) and contractors (demand-side of our marketplace) - need out of Buildforce. We want to be a part of creating a better experience for everyone, meaning increased income and job security for workers and workforce stability for contractors.
• You'll solve problems: Lead design for our mobile apps and internal tools as we create the best construction labor marketplace.
• You'll get creative: We have the opportunity to help build a better real-world experience for our workers and our contractors, re-defining how all parties are treated along the way.
• You'll do the all the design stuff: create mockups (we currently use Figma), work alongside product and engineering to get feedback and iterate, and improve our design system and processes.

What We're Looking For:

• All the stuff you've read a million times - critical thinking, attention to detail, being a self-starter who can handle ambiguity, etc.
• Experience with UX/UI design and the day-to-day responsibilities of the job
• Desire to be in a place that will change rapidly - we're a small team that wants to scale as needed to take advantage of the opportunity we have in front of us. We can only make educated guesses about what the future entails and we need someone who is excited about the possibilities and able to grow with us
• Desire to improve your surroundings - we don't just want someone who accepts things as they are. We want someone who pushes the boundaries on our product and our processes.
• Desire, or experience, to participate in research & design
• Potentially, a desire to grow into a UX Team Lead - in our ideal world, we all grow along with the company
